When to Go to the Hospital (Unmedicated Birth)

When to Go to the Hospital for an Unmedicated Birth

If you're planning an unmedicated hospital birth, timing your arrival can make a big difference.

Arriving too early can sometimes lead to unnecessary interventions. Waiting until active labor is established can help you stay in your rhythm.

Consider going in when:

  • You are in active labor (strong, consistent contractions)

  • You can no longer talk through contractions

  • You feel something is not right

Every labor is unique. Preparation and education help you feel confident in your timing.

Listen to your body, it's your best guide.
